Fourteen years old Christopher Duffley was born blind and later diagnosed with autism. Christopher and his mom, Christine; join radio talk show host Byron Tyler on Mid-South View Point. The Duffleys were in Memphis to share Christopher’s story at a special needs banquet at Second Presbyterian Church and for Women of Hope International, a ministry helping women with disabilities around the world. Christopher was adopted by Christine and her husband Steve after her younger brother and girlfriend left him to foster care. In this week's video we visit Memphis Tennessee. It is running of fumes that we arrive at Memphis, Tennessee; and I’m not talking about old Kia. It is us. It has been an intense whirlwind road trip for almost two weeks now, and we are really ready for a break that won’t come for another two days. I, however, am ecstatic to be staying here right next to the shore of the Mississippi. I have always been fascinated by this river mainly because of Mark Twain’s stories. I can almost imagine Jim and Huck’s raft coming downstream. We ignore our fatigue and decide to explore downtown a little bit. We walk along the bank of the river enjoying a spectacular sunset. Memphis was our last stop of day 1 on our road trip to Chicago from Houston. We decided to rest up and enjoy some night life instead of driving all the way to Chicago in one day. Bass pro shops lookout pyramid was amazing and words cannot even begin to describe how amazing it is inside the pyramid. If you're really curious look it up on youtube. Inside the pyramid they have a hotel where you can stay, couple of restaurants and the best outdoor retail shop I've seen anywhere in USA.
